SPEAKER_07

I'm June Ryant, your host, and we welcome you to our podcast. Our vision is to win souls to Christ and to help those who know him by giving them a fresh new perspective on Christian living and reading God's word. Our mission is to biblically educate people while growing in their Christian walk by answering questions that they are uncomfortable to ask in a church-like setting. You can find us wherever you get your podcast. Please like and subscribe. You can also visit us on YouTube, Instagram, on our website, vent-101.com, where you can leave any questions or comments. Yeah, I'm back hosting boy. Next week's podcast is going to be uh woo gonna open up your nose with this.

SPEAKER_06

That's right.

SPEAKER_07

But I'm uh gonna let everybody introduce themselves.

SPEAKER_02

Hello, I'm Pat. Glad to be here. And hope you get something out of this today.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm Rich. Like, share, subscribe, bring 10 friends.

SPEAKER_02

All right.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, good morning and good day to everybody out there in the podcast line. This is Antoine. I hope everybody's having a blessed day and a good week so far.

SPEAKER_07

Hey man. Yeah, and uh I messed this up. It's okay. Uh this topic really is like a piggyback off of uh the last week's. This is for YouTube, but those of you that are on Facebook, this is uh kind of like a piggyback off of what Pat hosted. Thank you. That was so good. That was good and brokenness. Uh you all want to catch that. Don't skip over it if you are uh on uh YouTube. I'm I'm posting them on Instagram again. So if you all uh just just check out brokenness. You did a wonderful job on it, and it's really relevant. But today's topic is uh the hope we have. It's a piggyback off of being broken, because you have to know that we there is hope in Christ. You can overcome anything. Uh trusting Jesus in every season, the hope we have, trusting Jesus in every season. Now, during my research, I found that both the old and new testaments describe hope as confident expectation, not just wishful thinking. In the old testament, people look forward to God's future actions, uh, his expected deliverance being restored, as well as the coming of the Messiah. And they were also rooted in God's past faithfulness. Now, there are a couple of scriptures you can read, Isaiah 40, 31, and you can read uh Psalms 135 through 6. Now, in the New Testament, hope is centered on Jesus, uh, the Messiah who all has already come, looking forward to his return, the resurrection, and eternal life. Now, in both testaments, hope is active waiting, trust, and confidence in God's faithfulness. The main difference is what the people were hoping for. I'm encouraging you to read, uh, I'm with us being short on time, I'm encouraging you to read Hebrews 11 and 1 about the faith of things that are hoped for. And 1 Peter 1, 3 through 5. Now, believers often think of the word hope like, uh, I hope it's a sunny day today so we can have a picnic. Or I hope that my Rams win and Dallas loses the game. I hope that my dinner I'm fixing today turns out delicious.

SPEAKER_01

That's cold.

SPEAKER_07

Maybe a little blue. I hope they win everything. Whatever. Maybe a positive feeling or wishful thinking sounds a little better, but the Bible presents hope as a confident expectation that's rooted in God's promises as well as his character. These turn hope into assurance, giving us that lasting strength and transform lives. Hope doesn't just help us survive family, it teaches us how to expect God. Expectation is the soil where our faith grows. When we start expecting God to move, speak, guide, and transform, our spiritual lives will increase. Biblical hope is doing what is the steady confidence that God is who he says he is and will do what he said he would do. New believers uh need hope. They need it because uh it becomes the foundation of their faith, peace, perseverance, and their joy. Now, for the record family, before I turn it over to uh the co-host, uh for the record family, hope in the Bible is not wishful thinking, as I said. It's having confident expectations rooted in God's character. Yes, right. That's the core truth that all believers, new and seasoned, everybody, they need it. Hope is meant to be lived, not just believed. Now I'm gonna open it up uh for uh the panel, the uh co-host to give me what you got. I took all your verses.

SPEAKER_03

Oh no.

SPEAKER_02

I like how you broke down the old and the new testament ways. Yes, ma'am. Yeah, that's just beautiful. Yeah, the Israelites, they hoped well, actually, their reliance was on God, you know, uh, for protection and for provision. You know, they uh how they uh went over uh dry land, they was in the wilderness and everything, they was hungry and all this stuff. God provided for them. They trusted in God, they hoped that God would send them something, and he did, manna. And then uh wait a minute, what else? I don't forget. What was that, manna and what else? Then he had they had they had something to drink, didn't he? No, it was something quail. Quail. It was meat, quail. Yeah, they uh he provided for them quail and uh manna from from from Ohio. And so this is their reliance on God, you know, and protect me, you know, from my enemies and stuff when they went to war, you know, they always called on God, you know, to protect them and what have you. And so uh, but in the New Testament, now that hope is all the way different because uh Jesus came on the scene and he is the hope of the glory, our glory. And he is our hope. And I I just really like how you said it's the expectation. Yes, and it and then you you're active in the hope. Hope that you don't just sit there and cross your legs just waiting. And what what is our hope for? Our hope and I I kind of looked it up again about hope, but I came up with an acronym. Hope is holding out patiently until eternity.

SPEAKER_03

And that's what we're doing.

SPEAKER_02

That's good. That's what we're doing, holding out because things gonna happen while we're here, and I'm gonna leave that alone. Got to hold out.

SPEAKER_01

Um the only thing I would say with your definition, my yeah, I literally had the same thing. Only one word in mind was different. A confident and certain expectation rooted in Jesus Christ's resurrection and promise.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_01

And the show took me first Peter 1 Peter 1 and 3. But I'm gonna read uh Romans chapter 5, 3 through 5. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience, and patience experience, and experience hope, and hope maketh not ashamed. Because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us. In Romans 15 and 13, it states, now that God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, yes, yes that ye may abound in hope and through the power of the Holy Ghost. Now, in researching this one, it's nothing but encouragement.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

This is about encouragement and and like uh my mom said, we went over brokenness, but just understand, even though we go through those those different times, that there's always hope on the other side of that because for one, it's about it it falls in kind of alignment with faith.

SPEAKER_06

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

You know that you have faith in God, you believe in something, faith is the believing in something that is not physically present per se. Hope is in the same alignment.

SPEAKER_06

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

But the key thing is with hope, it follows with a lot of promises. Jesus has made a lot of promises to us through that. So use that as encouragement or encouraging thing to understand that when you're going through those times is for one to help build you up. So don't just wallow in it. Go to God, and it may be things that you don't know. That's one thing I know that we that's been saying a lot that's been deep, that we don't really stress, is the fact that we go through these different times. And it's gonna be nothing but your faith in Him that is gonna help you get through these times.

SPEAKER_06

Yes, sir.

SPEAKER_01

Faith and prayer. If it weren't without them, I I know I wouldn't be right here right now. And that's the key part. The main thing about this walk is, man, is understanding and have a clear understanding that no matter what is going on, as long as you, for one, you're repenting on your sins, like we're supposed to, which honestly, that's that is more harder than me to be um frank and transparent than the forgiving part. I can forgive easy not than repenting, which don't even sound like it makes sense, but I'm just being honest.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_01

Because the repent thing be them things where you know dang well. The sins we dwell in that we discuss, a lot of times you don't want to repent on that. Because you know you repent on, you do it again. Guess what? It ain't gonna get no better.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So that's something that I've struggled with and have to work on as my mom's super water. That I've had to work on. That I've had to work on. That I've had to literally, like, I'm just being honest, I had to work on within myself because I found it was certain sins that that I knew I was living in, and I just didn't want to repent on. But the key part is, as you know, that we're supposed to be as righteous as possible. So you can't not repent on them if you want to stay obedient and to continue to be in alignment with what God has for you. And that's where the hope in that comes to life for me, because I already know that God already has laid out a foundation for what he wants me to do within him. The key part is understanding that through this process and the growing, that you're shedding those different sinful natural things so that you can be as righteous as possible. And don't be afraid to repent. Like I said, I've had issues with sometimes because again, I'm just honest about stuff. And it'd be them things like, man, I don't really want to get it up. So that's said now, so I do it a couple more times, then repent.

SPEAKER_02

See.

SPEAKER_01

You know what I'm saying? Like, like I'm gonna negotiate with the Lord.

unknown

We do that.

SPEAKER_01

Like, don't that make sense? But I'm just again, I'm just being very honest because we do that. I know I can't be the only person that just done that. I'm gonna pray a couple more times and not do it. But the the key thing about it is just having your faith aligned within Christ and knowing and understanding that He wants us to come to Him with every aspect of life, the stuff you don't feel comfortable talking to Him about. I learned to talk to him about it. Why? Because He said all aspects, not just the parts and pieces we want to. So even like now with the repent thing, I've talked to him about that too. I said, Lord, I know I gotta change that. Please help me get better with this. Help me with everything that I know I'm struggling with, the things that I may not even know that I'm dealing with that is not aligned. Clear that stuff out so that I can be in one of a core. Because I do not want to go before him and he says, Who are you? Depart from me. See, I ain't focused on this life no more, like I used to be worried, like worry about the kick and the turn about uh-uh. Eternal life is a lot longer. So I'm gonna ask y'all out there, which one matters more to you, this life or eternal life?

SPEAKER_07

Amen. I'm gonna say what is the hope that uh my pastor always said, well, he didn't always say it, but he uh said this uh in a uh sermon a couple of years ago that really, really hit me. We are living in eternity now. Because we as believers, we won't ever die. But the key is what Rich said last week. The last time we was in the studio, what uh I can't remember what uh podcast it was, it's the beginning, the dash, and the ending. What are you doing to end for eternity? And the piggyback off of you, what you said, not dog not going off on you because I'm guilty of it too. We can take those sins that we are living in, that we love to do, admit it, you don't want to give it up, but who's to say that God is gonna bless you to live till tomorrow to get it right? That's the key. We have to be aware that God can take you in an instant. We don't have to be sick.

SPEAKER_02

We don't have to talk about trust as well. Hoping and I'm talking about hoping for something good because people can hope that you hurt yourself or lose your job, and you know, that's evil. But we're hoping for the right thing, and that's you know, to live eternally, like you said, in the end with with Christ. And uh but we have to trust his word. And when I thought about that, John 14, it says too that in my father's house there are many mansions, or some some platforms or or what would you call them, the different prints, it says rooms. But in my father's house, there are many mansions. And if it wasn't so, I wouldn't have told you. He said, I go away to prepare a place for you. So that's the hope that we have. That's what keeps me in line. You know what I'm saying? Lord, I gave my life to you, so you know, I I I I want to say this to this person, or I want to do this or that, you know, in my sin, but I I uh you're not gonna be pleased with that. So I have to be conscious of his word. I have to trust his word that he said it. I went away to prepare a place for you. That's almost personal. I look at it. So I don't want to disappoint you, God. Yes, you know, and no, and no means. So you make me right because I can't get right on my own. That's a good way of looking at it because I just like that boy said, What that moving angle life can't get right. Yeah, I can't because I know no, I don't. It it takes God, and so trusting his word, boy, that's it brings us so much hope. You know, and peace too. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

When I um looked at this topic, uh it said the hope we have. And it went on to say, trust in Jesus in every season. And that that meant a lot because when I uh the first definition that popped up, it was the first word that stuck out to me. Uh so being anchored, you know, I'm like anchored. Like, wow, that's um that's heavy in itself.

SPEAKER_06

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

When you think about the hope we have and trusting Jesus in every season. It says being anchored in his unchanging character and constant presence, providing steadfast peace regardless of change and circumstances. It says, regardless of change and circumstances, because we know life naturally moves through high highs and low lows from seasons of joy and abundance of periods of waiting, trial and sorrow.

SPEAKER_03

That's right.

SPEAKER_00

Trusting Christ transforms how we experience these shifts. Um, and then it went on to talk about uh how God's unfailing consistency because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. And you can read up on that in Hebrews 13 and 8. So our hope is not tied to fluctuating external situation, but to his permanent faithfulness. It goes on to talk about deepen uh how we can have deepened roots with Christ. Like a tree planted by the water that does not fear the heat, depending on him, provides soul level stability and resilience during long, dry, or different difficult stretches. That was a song, wasn't it?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, just like a tree that's planted by the water.

SPEAKER_00

I was thinking about the anchor, too.

SPEAKER_03

I used to love that song.

SPEAKER_01

You said a pun too. You said a lot of weight. I said you try to say that pun on purpose or accident.

SPEAKER_00

Accident. And it goes to speak about purposeful transitions, meaning, uh, excuse me, embracing the present season, whether active or waiting, allows us to trust that God wastes nothing and works quietly behind the scenes for our ultimate good and redemption. And it goes on to speak of a secure refuge. Christ as a secure refuge, also turning to prayer and scripture allows us to lay down anxiety, knowing we are fully seen, known, and held by God who acts as our strength and refuge. And a Bible character uh that popped up was Joseph. He maintained unswerving, as it says, unswerving, trusting seasons of betrayal by his brothers, wrongful enslavement and imprisonment, eventually recognizing God's sovereign provenance. That's beautiful. When elevated in Egypt, it says unswerving.

SPEAKER_02

Unswerving.

SPEAKER_00

I said, oh wow, I didn't even know she unswerving. Oh, Jesus. Put that in the back of the middle roller decks. Unswerving.

SPEAKER_02

That's a good one. That's a good one, though. Yeah. That's a good one. I like when y'all said actively. See, hope is just not, once again, with your legs crossed, you gotta actively be doing something. You know what I'm saying? Hope is not a noun, it's a verb. And oh, I had a scripture lost. Okay. Romans 8 and 24. It says, Hope that is seen is not hope. So we don't see it, right? That's right. For who hopes for what he sees? Who do who does that? Who hopes for what he sees? You don't see it, but we believe it. But that's what Romans 8 and 24 says. Uh hope that is seen is not hope. I I like how they say that because we're trusting, once again, we're trusting that that Jesus went away to. Prepare a place for us. We don't see it. You know, that's where the trusting comes in. So hope that is seen. How do you see hope? That's what I want to know.

SPEAKER_01

That's why I said faith and hope of life.

SPEAKER_07

That's awesome. I know we're cutting short on time, but I wanted to go into uh just you all can add live, uh, what hope gives us because a lot of times the people get down on a hope. Oh Lord, I hope it no hope is uh uh upward word. You have to be positive about it. Uh hope gives us spiritual stability, it keeps believers, uh keeps us steady when life gets hard. Thank you, Jesus. Uh like Rich said, it's the anchor that keeps us from drifting from fear or discouragement. And it gives us the strength to endure. Thank you, Lord. Hope reminds us that suffering is only temporary and God's promises are eternal. Yes, they are. Uh hope uh teaches us, uh gives us identity and purpose. Don't think that you are here without having a purpose for your life. Uh hope teaches us to uh who are who we are in Christ and where our story is headed. I never would have thought that I would be uh drawn to young women. Um and this that resonated with me because I you never know what God has called you to do until you start walking in your obedience, and then God will reveal to you what your calling or your purpose is. So don't think that you don't have nothing to do for the body of Christ. Uh, it gives you joy in trials. Thank you, Jesus. There's have you ever seen uh some Christians that believers that they are they are joyous even though they've gone through a rough time? I want to be like that, you know, because right now I'm missing my my God brother. Uh I'm gonna be honest with you. I cried, I woke up crying about him yesterday because he normally would call me and sing that crazy way of singing uh happy birthday to me. You know, I'm like, and he goes down to happy birthday. I could I could hear Kenny. I'm talking about Kenny. Uh he is our uh forever eternal number five panelist in the studio, but I miss him and I I still have joy in knowing that he wouldn't even want to sing to me right now. He is praising God, you know? Hope is a light. It helps you when you see light, see life as being dark in those depressing moments. And I pray in the name of Jesus, whoever is experiencing uh loss or any kind of uh any kind of loss, a loss of relationship, loss, loss of job, or whatever loss it is, that God will continue to give you that hope. Uh hope as a promise. It reminds you God never breaks his word. He never breaks his word. I thank you.

SPEAKER_00

Man, I was thinking about uh Paul and Silas praised and saying hymns to God when they was in prison. Yes, you know, and Isaiah 41 and 10 says, Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. So man, some of those people that like even those people behind bars, you know, uh there's still hope. You know, and we learned that from Paul and Silas.

SPEAKER_06

That's true.

SPEAKER_01

There's a lot of Bible verses on on this topic. Um I'm gonna just add a couple more. Uh Titus 2 and 13. Looking for that blessed hope. And that glorious appearance of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ. Um Jeremiah 29 and 11. For I know the plans I have for you. Yes, declares the Lord. Plans for welfare and not for evil to give you a future and hope. So this is all about encouraging. I again, I know we discussed, and even through that, that's not a like a negative or derogatory thing of what we discussed our previous podcast. But it's like my mom said, they're perfectly aligned. Because hope is something that you need to get through that.

SPEAKER_07

That's right.

SPEAKER_01

That's the key part to even getting past and to be able to move forward in life through those different times. It's your hope that God and and understanding that God is gonna help you through it to where you're not gonna be where you were before. You're gonna be a new creature. You're gonna be a new person. Yeah. And honestly, when I rededicated myself to Christ, it was like a, it was almost like just a view of life from a whole different perspective. And it was more so what we discussed in earlier, seeing things not only through my fleshly, worldly eyes, but through spiritual eyes. It gave me, gave me totally different perspective on how I think about things, how I look at people, and how I view things now. Because before, I used to be so quick to like uh angry if I get offended, or if I felt you tried me, or candid me sideways, I gotta one-up you. But like now, I don't even feel the urge.

unknown

Amen.

SPEAKER_01

If anything, I say, you know what, I pray for you. Because the one thing with me is once you find your peace, which you said long time ago, I didn't realize how deep that hit me. It's one thing you said the key to you is keeping your peace. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And that was years ago you said that.

SPEAKER_01

But it resonated with me because I was allowing peace disturbance within my life. I was inviting the enemy in, not even knowingly.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And see, what through this, the prayers and opening my spiritualized and growing in my word, it starts helping you, for one, yeah, to weed out them people and naturally God gonna weed them out anyway.

SPEAKER_06

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

That's why it's pertinent that we do go through a time of isolation for self-reflection and self-growth within this walk, or else otherwise you can get distracted, detoured, or get led astray, a backslide and double backslide, and which is the key thing that causes burdens and makes your life go backwards. So the main thing is focusing on Christ growing in his way, being as righteous as possible, and definitely being obedient. But sometimes it ain't comfortable being obedient. Because it's been a couple of times, like until I got I grew strong in my prayer, and I had got a better understanding of before. I say, I'm I'ma pray for you. Didn't do it then. Like I just knew I had later to do it. That's what started hitting me. You don't know if you got later. You don't know if you got the next second. After you say it and you didn't do it, you could be walking to your car and God say, Come home. Come home, that's right. Just understanding that gave me different perspective and view on everything. And it and through it all, that's what hope was the big part of it. Because my faith and hope and God standing on every word he said, and even when I tried him in it, like you ain't gonna do that for real. Every time he came through. He like, all you thought I was playing was I said, I made that approach, you thought I was playing, huh? He's like, nah, I stand on what I say. And I mean what I say.

SPEAKER_06

He's a man of his words.

SPEAKER_01

And once you actually truly understand that, that he says, leave it at my feet and move forward. This is my word, they ain't just technical wording, but leave it at my leave your birds at my feet and then move forward.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Once I started literally doing that, everything changed. Perspective, life, yes, things happen. But when they do happen, I got faith knowing that he's gonna take care of it and he got me. As long as I'm continuously standing in alignment. Because before things happen, I'm like, man, I know I ain't living right. So it was a reason for it. He's not gonna bless you when you're living wrong. And you knowingly living wrong. He's not gonna bless you through that. It seemed like it's him, but the enemy can bless you too.

SPEAKER_07

I want to go into how hope can strengthen. I uh it's labeled uh strengthens a new believer, but I believe all believers can be strengthened through this way of hope. Uh it gives you a spiritual confidence. Hope assures the new believer, I'm gonna say the believers, that God has truly begun a good work in them and will finish it. This confidence, it helps them trust God even when they don't when you don't yet understand about faith. You're right, Crystal, he ain't gonna bless the mess. Yeah. It gives you an uh totally different identity in Christ that you you understand. Hope reminds us that we are forgiven, loved, and accepted. It quiets the old voices of shame, like what we talked about last uh podcast, and teaches us to see ourselves the way God sees us. A lot of time we are walking in brokenness and we don't see ourselves the way God sees us. We are perfect, God loves us no matter what. Ain't nothing you can do to make God not love you. That's the difference in being human. That's why you always have to look through, see life through spiritual eyes. Because if you you can't turn them back, can you turn back on your spiritual eyes? Turn them back. You know, I mean, like go well, go back to the worldly eyes. Yeah, you can't do it.

SPEAKER_00

I think if you choose to go backwards in your life, you choose to denounce it. I don't think you can give it back.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think you can give it back. I think you can choose to allow them to go dormant, yeah. Or not even use them.

SPEAKER_01

Put your blinders up to use them.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, and it's not safe. That's not good.

SPEAKER_01

I wouldn't, I would never advise that one. Don't do that. That's not do that.

SPEAKER_00

No pot at the end of that rainbow.

SPEAKER_07

Uh hope helps us endure in trials. Uh, believers, we face spiritual attacks, doubts, or pushbacks from others. Who you think you all that? Just because you saved now, you holier than now. I heard somebody say that I was holier than now. I'm like, they don't know me. You know me. They don't know thou either. They don't know thou.

SPEAKER_00

That's still uh judging me from my old address, too. You see what I'm saying? You can only say that if you had per se things to compare it to. So you're comparing it to my old self. Yeah, my old address where I don't live no more. Yeah, and and because you wouldn't make a statement if you knew the the new creation.

SPEAKER_07

Well, those people are comparing the old you to the new creation, and they don't know the new creation because they haven't really experienced it, because they're afraid of being a new creation themselves, I think. I could be totally wrong.

SPEAKER_01

People I know be like, ooh, but Mama June, never. I was like, what? You don't know her? Not the old her, you know the new her, not the old her. Like, she could never pots and pans getting thrown across the room with you.

SPEAKER_07

Ask for it. No, it ain't like they didn't ask him to be throwing pots and pans and plates.

SPEAKER_02

That's the only image they see. Right. So they they have an inkling of what who thou is.

SPEAKER_01

You mess me up with that gun. No, the for real.

SPEAKER_02

They have an image, they have some type of inkling who thou is. That's good. So they ain't in the dark. You see what I'm saying? But they just saying it out of envy. I sure do hate it because I'm inviting everybody to love Jesus like I do.

SPEAKER_07

That's it. If you walk in Christ like I'm walking, all of us have changed. That's it. But you know, um Hallelujah. Yes, there's nothing like you said that Rich told cop you. There's nothing like peace. Peace, peace, yes. And people that um that are not walking in the peace that surpasses all understanding, they're not, they not, they don't understand. They can't understand. Even though you're going through stuff, you still have peace. Because you have the hope and knowing God is gonna take care of it.

SPEAKER_06

Yes, right.

SPEAKER_07

Even if He don't take care of it, guess what? I'm happy with Jesus alone. Yeah, Crystal said also people like to keep you where they knew you were at.

SPEAKER_06

Yep, that's true.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, she said that was me, but this is me now. Hey, thank you, Lord. Yeah, it's the truth. But and people, I really hate that because my desire.

SPEAKER_01

I highly dislike.

SPEAKER_07

I my desire is that everybody come to know Jesus like we do. That's my desire. Because once you do, you will say, dang, I get it now. You know, and it's it's fear that's keeping people in that rut. Um but it hope gives you joy in everyday life. People be like, Why you be singing so much and acting? Yeah, I be walking around singing church music at work. I know I my voice be echoing. I love it.

SPEAKER_06

I'm now the halls. Oh, yeah, I hit them. I hit them.

SPEAKER_07

Especially when I'm knowing I'm sounding good with that, and somebody don't mess around and let somebody say you can sing, June, but oh I was singing to Antoine. I sang to him every I tried to sing a song to him every time. He would text me, and I was like, I'm drinking coffee.

SPEAKER_01

I think we about run out of time now.

SPEAKER_07

But I want to uh and lastly, uh hope gives you motivation to grow.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, it does.

SPEAKER_07

It gives you the hope fuels the desire to pray, read scripture as well as learn, family. It keeps you from being hungry for God because you believe He has more for you anyway. Oh boy, this was so good.

SPEAKER_00

Bishop uses like this dry erase board. So the armor bearer normally put it up, and I'm like, man, the Bishop board ain't up. So I look for the armor bearer, so he had an injury. So he gave me the nye. I said, Man, you finally gave me the nigh. Because I tell, you know, armor bearer, I'm I'm just filling in spots.

SPEAKER_03

Right, right.

SPEAKER_00

You know, so I go get the board set up. He had two words on there: insurance and usurance.

SPEAKER_03

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

And I and I know it was probably from the week prior where I was sick and didn't get to go to Bible study then. So I'm gonna ask him next time I see it, okay, Bishop, what what were you saying about these two words? Insurance and assurance. Because that kind of stuck out with me as y'all were going and talking about hope. So yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna ask him next time. What did you mean by insurance and assurance? Because he's been on a praise God.

SPEAKER_07

I think all called pastors or leadership, they are on one because they know they know because God they I I don't I'm not gonna say they have a special connection with God. That would be a lie, because we all have our own personal uh connection with God, but those that are in leadership that really and truly have a heart for God's people, they are in a different realm now. Because uh my pastor is on one too, and I'm like, man, I can't wait to hear what he got to say this week, you know, because when your leaders are on one, it keeps you on one. Follow him as he follows Christ, even though we have our own path, but when you get under good leadership like that, you're growing, it's a blessing because everybody, there's so many pastors and leaders out here that are feeding the flocks a mess, and they leading them to hell.

SPEAKER_01

A lot of them ain't feeding them at all.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, that's true.

SPEAKER_01

And no, Keisha, that's not you can't tell her that it's a hereditary.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. He thinks he can sing, but I got him.

SPEAKER_01

No, she's saying that I get it from you. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah, he be singing. I can see that singing a lot.

SPEAKER_00

You make it a brand of song that's every now and then.

SPEAKER_07

Y'all know that's all them in the heart of the video.

SPEAKER_00

I just did the last episode of the time.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You said ain't that the song? And then y'all started singing.

SPEAKER_03

I love it. We did that corner. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07
