I would love for you to introduce yourself. Hey.
SPEAKER_02Hi, my name is Jenny Littleton, and I am here to discuss cancer companions and also my testimony, what God over Israel and Jesus Christ of Nazareth and the Holy Spirit did for me.
SPEAKER_00Amen. And I'm Brother Shaw as they call me. It's been a wonderful week. Thank you to the organizations for allowing me to help support the homeless and the uh, or should I say, unhoused, as they like to be called, and uh people who are on dependency. So I had a great week this week. And of course, uh doing uh supporting the kids with the little uh hornet house type thing.
SPEAKER_07Well, good morning and good day to everybody out there. This is Antoine. Um hope everybody's had a good week so far and and had a blessed day so far.
SPEAKER_01Amen.
SPEAKER_06Have a good time, man.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we're gonna have a good time in the lawn. Yeah, so I I wanted to start by uh introducing uh Jenny. Uh she's the program director and coordinator over with cancer companions. I want to give you a little background that I found on the internet on cancer companions. Uh, Cancer Companions is a Christian nonprofit uh cancer ministry that helps people affected by cancer experience uh the hope, love, and grace of Jesus Christ during their cancer journey. Uh the ministry was founded in 2012, uh 2011, I'm sorry, by Karen Tripp in the St. Louis area and works through churches and volunteers across the United States. Uh its vision is that every person impacted by cancer would experience the hope of Christ and receive spiritual support alongside their medical care. Uh, it provides spiritual support for cancer patients, and I'm a uh prayer partner, uh, survivors, caregivers, and family members through prayer, Bible study, encouragement, and personal relationships. Now, to summarize, uh, cancer companions it exists to help people facing cancer draw closer to Christ through prayer, scripture, and Christian companionship and faith-based support. Uh, its primary ministries include cancer prayer partners, which I'm a prayer partner. Hey, it's so rewarding. Thank you, Jesus. Uh, trained volunteers connect regularly with cancer patients for prayer, encouragement, and companionship. And secondly, uh cancer, uh, Christian cancer Bible studies, group studies designed to help people see God's presence, strength, and purpose while facing cancer. And thirdly, cancer-focused devotional prayer and prayer resources, uh, daily devotional prayers, uh scripture-based encouragement, and other Christian tools for patients and families. And lastly, 30 days of cancer prayer, a nationwide prayer initiative encouraging believers to pray specifically for those impacted by cancer. Thank you, Jesus. And with that, we want to say welcome, Jenny.
SPEAKER_05Thank you for coming.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I wanted to ask you, I start off by asking you, how do you balance uh caring for others as you do? And and I want you to go in the detail uh and caring for yourself. But how do you how does how does that go? Because I know you told me a little bit, but I want you to tell it.
SPEAKER_02Well, basically, I pretty much start a schedule, a routine that I have for myself, and I do that basically for my brain, for my mind. So my family comes first. So what I do, I take care of home first, I set up a schedule for them, and once they're taken care of, then I start my cancer companion uh warrior mission to go out and to talk to people that are dealing with cancer or a caregiver, and I meet them at hospitals. And once I leave the hospitals, I meet so many people in a hospital that have cancer or they're a caregiver. And once I leave there, I go to Walmart, I go to Family Dollar, Dollar General. I go to places where I know people that look like me and you will be at. And I go there and I tell them about cancer companion, and I'm also wearing the shirt today as well. Usually when I'm out and about doing outreach, I have on a shirt that says Team Jesus. Something about the name Jesus does everything for somebody. So when they see me, I have on a Jesus shirt. So they will know that okay, this person might just be real. Because I know there's a lot of wolves in sheep clothing. So I make sure I put on the whole arm of God and I start off with his son, Jesus, and I have on Jesus. And once I begin to speak, they realize, okay, I'm comfortable with her. I can listen to her. And so I talk to my people and I tell them about Cancer Companion and about uh what we supply and what we do for them as our ministry and as our service, and they tend to really be so impressed. I never heard of this. When did this come about? And I tell them, well, there was a lady named Karen Tripp, and she came about this. The Lord spoke to her. And they're like, oh, wow, well, where is she from in St. Louis? And I said, Well, I'm not sure. I believe she's from St. Charles, St. Peter's. I know that's where she resides now. And they're like, oh, okay, well, you know the famous St. Louis thing. What high school did she go to? I'm like, I don't know. I said, but I need you to know, Karen is a white woman. Oh, and she's doing this for the black community. Yes. Yes. And God spoke to her. And you can believe in God and Jesus Christ, which is wonderful, but you must obey. You can't have one without the other. You must obey and believe. Because there's a lot of people that believe, but they're not obeying. The darkness believes, but they're not obeying. She obeyed and she believes, and that's why the Lord allowed her to bring this together. So when I tell people that look like me and you in the black community, they're so impressed that uh God spoke to a white woman to reach out to our black churches and start this program ministry to pray for our brothers and sisters that are going through cancer and a caregiver because somebody praying, taking care of uh big mama, cousin, niece, nephew, the caregivers is hard. Yeah. And the patient is hard. So to have someone to call you once a week, wrap their arms around you because God is the comforter and we're part of his quilt. So it means a lot, and a little bit goes a long way. Yes, it does. So I pretty much take care home first, start my schedule, and then I go on about my day. And usually me and Karen, we sit down once a week and she lays out the schedule. Like, I want you to go to this hospital, I want you to go to this clinic, I want you to go here, and then after I leave them, then I'll go to my community areas because I have enough time to do that before I get home so I can get my kiddos off the bus. Yes. So yes.
SPEAKER_01What made you, how did you get uh started with cancer companions? Where did you learn about it yourself?
SPEAKER_02Yes, well, I want to tell you, God is so good. When he says he does things behind the scenes, he does it behind the scenes. I got involved in Cancer Companion, and I'm very passionate about it is because it hit my body. And what I want you to know, it hit me hard. I was in so much darkness, I didn't couldn't see my hand in front of my face. I was in so much darkness, it was darker than this cover, tablecloth. But I said, thank you, Lord, because I knew that he was gonna come through because I believed in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And he don't know this, but Fred played his song on the radio because I would lay and listen to my praise music. And Fred spoke to me, Hammond, through his song late in the midnight hour. Hey, God's gonna turn around. Turn around. He's gonna turn around in your favor. Yes. And I'm here today. Now, when you and you and you look at me, can you tell that I went through that? Mm-mm.
SPEAKER_05No at all.
SPEAKER_02Because I totally surrendered. Okay. And when you totally surrender to God, thank you, Jesus. I'm gonna just be honest. This is what it looks like. Amen. Thank you, Lord. You're worthy. Thank you, Sandy. And I surrendered. Yes. And I'm gonna be honest because I don't play with God because I made promises to God. When I surrender, I surrender. Yes. Thank you, Jesus.
SPEAKER_01Thank you, Lord.
SPEAKER_02Here's how I surrendered.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02And that's what I did then, and that's what I continue to do. Amen. So uh I was working in the school district, and after everything was done, I was ready to go back into the school district. But I had to be there at 7:30 or 7:45. I said, Well, that's not gonna work for me. My son's bus doesn't come until 8:30. I gotta get him on the bus. You used to let me do it for my daughter, but you've been away. We can't do new hires. But take it. You can start Monday, and once you're in the system, you can work around and change your hours. What I'm gonna tell my little son. So, no, I can't take it. So I was really sad and down because I was like, ah, school districts are hiring me, but they won't work with my hours. So I get an email because I was down about that. And so uh praying to God and Jesus, then I get an email from my church about a job. And so I was you know applying for it to set it up. So I called my church and I spoke with my church. I said, You send me an email about this job, you know, before I apply and send off for it. Is this real? Because I want to make sure it's not a scam. Yeah, yeah. And the secretary, her name is Lisa, beautiful lady. And my church that I attend is St. Afonso's the Rock on Grand. It's a phenomenal black Catholic church. That's where my girl goes. Okay. And so uh so Miss Lisa said, Jenny, I didn't send you no email about no job. I said, Oh, I'm so glad you told me. I, you know, she said, Well, hold on. So she went back and talked to the other office manager, and then she came back. Oh no, no. Then finally she said, Well, where'd this come from? Yeah, yeah, I guess so. Yeah, this is from us. Go ahead and apply for it. So I did. A lady, Miss Karen Tripp, called me. She set up an interview with me, and then after the interview, she said, I need to call your references. She called my references, she said, You got the job. I said, Oh, thank you, God. And so when I got home, he said, You were trying to put a triangle in a circle shape. I wouldn't let you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I didn't let you get back in the school system because I wanted you here. Yes, thank you. That's why I was sad. I didn't know. I said, Oh, Lord, thank you. Because I never forget when the lady said, Well, don't you have some neighbors maybe that can get your children on the bus? I said, Yeah, I am that neighbor. You know. So I was so like, oh my goodness. So when the Lord spoke to me after Karen hired me, he said, That's why you were trying to put that triangle in that circle. It won't fit. What I have for you is what I have for you. My plans will be done completely. So once I got on with Cancer Companion, we started going around to all these beautiful churches, which is one of mine, St. Afonso's the Rock, Refuge, Restoration, By Life Christian Center Church. Now we have Devotional Baptist Church, and many more are wanting to be a come, become a part of Cancer Companion Ministry. And it's phenomenal, and I love it. And I get to talk to patients that are going through and they relate to me and I relate to them because I sit in that seat. What do you mean you sit in that seat? Because I went through that and I still go there. What do you mean you still go there? I get treatments on Tuesday. So then they know that okay, so so when I say I'm for cancer companion, I'm for. Now I didn't have cancer companion when I was going through I Wish I Did, and it was out there. So that's why I go out in the community at different locations and stores and the community to make sure my brothers and sisters who look like me, brown, black, so they could know about cancer companion because this would have been beneficial to my family. Yes. But it was out there. Karen was at the locations where I was being treated at other locations. But they pick and choose who they tell the information to. So I'm so glad that the Lord used me with Karen to go out there because I like to have a microphone with my mouthpiece, but I don't have a microphone. But you know what I mean? So that's what I'm so passionate about because I went through that, you know, and I still go get treatments on Tuesday. And I thank God about that. So I want them to know this is real. I'm not, this is not a scam, this is not anything that you have to worry about. When I tell you God over Israel, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and the Holy Spirit is going to bless you. Every church, every mentor that's connected, trained, and they are ordained by God over Israel. Amen. It's no nothing about. When I tell you our God, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, they all are anointed, called. He chose them. So it's very phenomenal. Every patient that has signed up, from the patient to the caregiver, Jenny, thank you. I get calls, I get text messages, thanking me for her. She's one of them. Thank you, Jesus. Thanking me for all. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you. Thanking me. Thanking me that the light has come into their house through this project, project all through Karen Trip, who is being used by God over Israel, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, all because of cancer companion.
SPEAKER_01Girl, you got me crying over here. Yes, Lord. I want to ask you, what does your job title as program director coordinator? Coordinate. What does your job entail?
SPEAKER_02Praise God. Well, uh basically it's coordinating churches together to become mentors. And we pray over our patients and our caregivers. And once you get trained and we I coordinate you guys to set up your church, you all will have your monthly meeting. And let's say you will get a patient and you will pray over them, then you set up a time when you will call them once a week to pray over them, and they may say, I'm needing some food, I'm needing a ride for my son, I'm needing this. You will come back and we will find out some numbers or some information that we can give them so they can be blessed. Because when you're going through, you need all hands on deck. So with Cancer Companion, we do all the praying for you, we do all the navigating, advocating for you. All you gotta do is be still and know he got. Amen and he's using us as the vessels.
SPEAKER_05Amen.
SPEAKER_01I want to ask you a sidebar question, I guess we'll say since you work with the churches, what if you have somebody, let's say, that's a believer on fire for Christ, but a member somewhere else? Can they have the opportunity to be a prayer partner or a cancer companion? Oh, yes, they can. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes, yes.
SPEAKER_01So what do what do they uh what would you say to them?
SPEAKER_02Well, if if they didn't, if their church was not ready to come on aboard, we can get them on with other churches that are already on board. And how I know, because we already doing it. Amen. Amen. We're already doing it. So yeah. We're blessed.
SPEAKER_01That's information because there are so many prayer warriors out here that might that are going to listen to this and they might have some spare time because with me being a prayer partner, uh I talk to my my, I call her my baby. My girl, I talk to her every Monday. Okay. Not unless this uh it's inconvenient for either one of us. Right, right. But we make sure to talk every week. And my prayer partner, she inspires me. And she loves you. I and I love her better. How about that? She loves you. I love her too. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_00Just real quick, could you uh give some information, some contact information for those that are listening?
SPEAKER_02Yes, uh, it's cancercompanion.org.org. You would just go to cancer then companion.org. And when you go on the website, please look at our website. We have a website that discusses about our black churches here in St. Louis that are on fire for the Lord. Yes, to pray for the people dealing with cancer because that is a monster within itself. So when you have a village praying for you, he said, go to the elders, go into prayer. So we have a village of all parts of the city of St. Louis praying for people with cancer, children, uh, young folks, elderly, whoever's dealing with it, and their caregivers. So we have so many black churches that are already on board and that are already calling me, wanna be on board for this because this thing is ongoing until it's totally wiped out of our lives permanently. So until it's totally removed, we're gonna be praying. And and this is what God said, Jenny, I'm gonna use all my children to pray for all my children. I'm gonna have the Holy Spirit to intercede in the prayer, and then I'm going to have Jesus to heal their body, and then I'm going to save their soul. But Jenny, don't be dismayed, don't be sad if and when I take some home to glory. You still did everything decent and ordered. That's right. So I said, thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. I said, praise your holy name. Thank you, God. Thank you. So uh that's what uh I'm I'm happy about that our churches are on board. And like I said, the ones that are not on board just yet, if they have family members or parishions that want to, we can pair them with churches that are already on board.
SPEAKER_01And does this go for are you all extending it to the Illinois side? I believe so.
SPEAKER_02Uh I want to say yes. I haven't I haven't gone over there. I believe Karen has. Okay. So I I'm right now just doing my local city. Right now I'm just doing my STL. But she She will have me over there because she has me going places where I didn't think I would go. Meaning, you know, I I never knew that the Lord was going to use me through her like this. So I'm grateful for it. And I'm on fire for it. So I appreciate everything that she has she's doing because she prays before she does anything. She doesn't do anything without talking to the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit. She's a wonderful woman. She is. She, I mean, she don't even know. She's thorough too. She is. She's very, she won't even eat her bowl of cereal. We're like, Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Thank you for the Cheerios. That's just how thorough she is. And so how deep she is with her savior. So, yes.
SPEAKER_01And she's thorough as a business woman.
SPEAKER_02Yes, she is. Yes, she is.
SPEAKER_01And that's why you can tell it was ordained by God. Because she does things, like you said, decent and in order. She does. Yeah. That's a wonderful thing.
SPEAKER_02She does. And Cancer Companion have her traveling all over 50 states, all over hospitals and different churches. And so we are in 50 states. If you go on our site, you will see all the Cancer Companion cities and states that we are uh connected with because of how they have her traveling and meeting these churches and these hospitals and meeting with the people there in different cities and states. And it's a beautiful thing.
SPEAKER_01Who's encouraging and strengthening you? Do you have a good support force? Uh yes.
SPEAKER_02Believe it or not, all of the churches that have signed up, they are my support. Amen. I call them, and I promise you, I can call them one-on-one or in a group, and I'm like, I'm going through this, I'm feeling this. They get into prayer.
SPEAKER_01Amen.
SPEAKER_02I can call one of them from any church and say, I'm feeling this. My family's going through this. They go into prayer. So all of the churches that are affiliated with Cancer Companion, they are my support group. They have been everything and more. And there was one lady that you may know, Pastor Marion. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's my few times.
SPEAKER_02Praise God. Yeah. She's a speaker at our women's conference. Praise God, she's one who told me, Jenny, when you connect with this, this is big. This is bigger than you and I. This is so big. This is a family. If you never had no family before, you have one now. Amen. And she did not exaggerate with that. When the Lord spoke through her and said that, it's true. It is definitely true.
SPEAKER_01Good morning, Diana. And good morning, Pat. She's on here.
SPEAKER_07Good morning. Good morning. Good morning.
SPEAKER_01Thank you for joining us. Yeah. I hope you're feeling better, sis. And we're going to see you next time in the studio.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, praying for you, Miss Pat. Pew Pew.
SPEAKER_01Praying for you in Jesus' name. Yeah. What motivates you to keep encouraging other people while facing your own battles?
SPEAKER_02Because the just shall live by faith and not die.
SPEAKER_05Amen.
SPEAKER_02The just shall live by faith. Just me girl by faith and not die. I'm going by what my daddy said. And when I was going through, I said, Daddy, I know you're coming to pick me up. I'm just like a kid waiting on the porch for their daddy to come and pick them up and pick them up. I'm daddy, I'm waiting on you to pick me up. I know you're coming to pick me up. My daddy came and picked me up. Yes. So I do that because I know what my God can do, what my daddy, your daddy, our daddy can do. Yes. Oh, and when he says, Our Father who art thou in heaven, hallowed be thy name, that's his name. Thank you, Jesus. So that's who I called to pick me up. He can't pick me up.
SPEAKER_01I want to hit you.
SPEAKER_02Just tap on the Bible.
SPEAKER_01Thank you, Lord. Everything you said was true. Amen. But how has this particular journey, which you're saying, how cancer companion, you see how God works. Woo! He opened the door for you when you was like, I ain't gonna listen to that email. I ain't gonna read it. But he opened that door for you. You are you are a prime example of walking in your calling. Thank you, Jesus. And thank you for answering that call because there are so many. What words of encouragement or things that you can say for people that have been called but are scared to make that step out there.
SPEAKER_02I will say faith over fear. Whatever it takes, just do it because there's something behind that door that's bigger and greater than you and I that God has. And to know no matter how hard it may look or afraid you may be, you're gonna go through that door. Because when God has a plan, it gets completed. Yes. So if you take baby steps. If you run to it, it's gonna get completed. So He finishes every plan. Yes. So just keep on keeping on, but always have your Savior Jesus with you in the Holy Spirit. Because remember, I confess that God raised Jesus from the dead with the Holy Spirit. And that same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is the same spirit that lives in all of our mortal bodies. That's right. So it will get completed.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what that's why I said say it again, because there are so many people. I'm gonna throw you out there.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, go ahead.
SPEAKER_01You was nervous coming in here. And are you nervous now? Uh no. I know you ain't.
SPEAKER_05She becoming all in.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because you are passionate about Jesus. Yes, I am. I don't play. And I'm passionate about Jesus because. Thank you, Lord. When you are on a deathbed, when the doctor said this, and I just I'm a visual. I went and took off my shoes and I grabbed my Bible and I stood on it. I said, God, the doctors are saying this, but what are you gonna say? Let me touch you to see if you're real. Yes. And I'm standing here today because he is real. Thank you. I surrendered to him, Jesus. Because he is real. What do I need to do? And so what I needed to do, I needed to surrender. Yes. I'm not gonna wait till the Father come and surrender. I'm just gonna surrender now on this side so I can be blessed when I come and when I go. Thank you, Jesus. So that's what I did, and that's what I'm still doing. So, yeah, so I can take this serious. Absolutely. I saw that. It was ugly. It was nothing cute about it. Especially when the doctors paint you a Freddie Krueger nightmare, and I'm standing on hope and I'm trusting in God over Israel and Jesus Christ and Nazareth, and I had a baby that was three years old, my daughter was nine. This took us by surprise because I was healthy. I didn't see this coming. But I said, thank you, Lord. But I want you all to know that are listening, that are viewing, I thank God that it happened to me. Because I went from Saul to Paul. Hey! And I'm thanking God. I thank you. And I'm gonna tell you why I went from Saul to Paul. Because after he healed me, and I'm where I am, where I am now, God said to me. I was praying like I do every day, like you all do. Nothing unusual. There wasn't no bells and whistles, no doves flying in there, nothing spectacular. Because I can't say that. It was just real life. And I'm praying, and God said, now you are where you're supposed to be. Yes. I felt him pat me on my head. Oh Lord, thank you. All of us for once want to do something right in our life. I said, Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Because I was like, wow, I've never done anything right. Because God always been telling me to go right, not go left. So I was like, wow, thank you. Then in an instant, Lord let me receive them flowers, and he did just like this. Because, Jenny, your whole life, you've been living a fake Christian life. Oh, yes, you a nice person. Oh, yes, you go to church. Oh, yes, you even know some of my scriptures. But you had your family food. And you had your friends food. You even had people fool that didn't know you. But worst of all, Jenny, you had yourself fooled. But you did not have I, God, the making creator, heaven and earth full. And Jenny, if I would have taken your life anytime before I allowed you to suffer, this is where you were headed. He showed me the fire, the lake of fire. I don't want to be in the lake of fire. It was so hot in my house. I was melting from the vision that he showed me of the lake of fire. I was burning. He said, but you kept your faith. You trusted in me. You believed in me and my son Jesus. He said, So I God, I saved you first, meaning he saved my soul. Not in St. Louis, Missouri, but he saved my soul, my everlasting life. He said that so. He said, then I healed you. Thank you, Jesus. I said, thank you. He said, because I allowed you to go through that because your will wasn't lined up to my will. Your tree wasn't bearing good, good tree, Christian fruit. He said, you'll know them by the fruit. And he said, my tree wasn't doing that. So he had to give my attention. He got my attention. You know, some people say, ah, Captain. Jenny said, ah, God. Hallelujah. So I thank him. So I got to taste and see the goodness of the Lord. He said, rejoice and be glad in your afflictions and your trials. He said, be happy about that. And now I see because he had something bigger and better for me that I did not know when I was going through. Because when I was going through, I was going through, like I said, it was this dark and black. I couldn't see my hand in front of my face, but I thanked him, Lord. I thanked him that I was going through the way I was going through this. Because he had this behind me. And he loved me so much. Yes. That he won my soul, that he allowed me, he spanked me, allowed me to go through all that so he can have my soul later. Because he said, if I would have taken your life before I allowed you to suffer, this is where you would have went and been, and you and you and you and my family and all you out there who know me would say, Oh, my sweet Jenny, oh she in glory with the Lord and Jesus. No, I would have been burning like some sizzling sausage because God said it. Yes. So with that being said, I thank him that he spanked me. Just like, don't you spank your loved ones? Don't you yell at your loved ones that they doing wrong? Because you love them. He allowed me to go through so he can have my soul later. God disciplined me every time I'm wrong. Thank you, Lord. So now I don't play, I don't partake in those things that I used to. People want to get mad at Adam and Eve for biting the fruit of that apple. Well, Jimmy ate the whole apple and spit the seed out. I spit the seed out. I don't partake in those apple trees no more. Amen. No. That's what I said. No, no, no. At least they just took a bite. Ate the whole apple and the seed went. That was it. Amen. So I'm just calling the thing a thing. It's facts. Ain't no need to be lying. Them days is over. Yeah, yeah. So you know, if I say something wrong, it's because I didn't know. You know what I mean? But when I know, I know. When you know better, you do better. So I know, and and I know better because of them 66 books. So I thank him for that Bible. So yes, I'm very grateful. I wouldn't change it if any of you said, if you could go back and God would give you the opportunity to change it, would you? No. Because that old me when I took my last breath would have been in the lake of fire.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_02The new Paul, the new Jenny, gonna be in glory. Hey. I'm gonna find that thin and narrow path that only a few will find. And I still got a little poofy stomach, and my big stomach is gonna be able to fit through that thin and narrow path. I know that you will find.
SPEAKER_06In Jesus' name. In Jesus' name.
SPEAKER_02Yes, I ain't gonna have. Thank you, Lord. That's what I'm looking for. It's real. It's real. This is not a home. This is temporary. Take this world. You can have it. Give me Jesus. Give me Jesus. I was in the world and enjoying the world. And I thought I was safe because I was going to church, nice person, knowing the scriptures, but still doing worldly stuff. I thought I was safe. Oh no. It was a place for me. He loved me so much. He allowed me to go through that so he can have me later on. Thank you. Hallelujah. And with that, know me, talk about me, and make fun of me. I don't get mad. Even my own family. That's okay because they don't have a heaven for me to enter into. That's right. I'm okay with that because they hated Jesus. So they ain't gonna like me. That's right. I'm going with the one who died on the cross for me. Yeah. I'm going on the one with by his stripes, I am healed. I'm going with that one. That's the one. That's the one and the two for me. That's right. In Jesus' name.
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_01You went through a vital test. And he you passed. Thank you, Lord. And sometimes people have to be whooped to be used by him. Because I was whooped. Paul was whooped. Yeah. Jonah was whooped.
SPEAKER_02And I pray that everybody don't have to get whooped like that. That's why I'm here. I don't want everybody to get whooped. I'm like, I call an auntie. I don't want everybody to be whooped. Listen to me. Listen to you. Amen. Listen to her. Amen. We're trying to tell you so you don't get whooped. Yes. Because when she's mad at me and you all mad at me, that's one thing, and you all fight me, but can't nobody put it on your like God over Israel. When he says, Vengeance is mine, said the Lord, because in life, y'all, including me, we all would get by. Yeah. But we will never get away. Because somebody that's good by and somebody that looked low. Yeah. And in life, I was getting by. He didn't allow me to get away. And I have an aunt who loves me so much. Her name is Aunt Mary. I love her and she loves me. She's always said, My sweet niece Jenny, oh, she's such a saint. My sweet Jenny, she's such a saint. I had to tell my Aunt Mary, stop calling me that. Because I ain't no saint. I ain't no saint. I'm a sinner. And I need a savior name Jesus. I had to tell her because she saw the sweet, kindly, nice things that that niece and me. I had to tell her, Auntie, you didn't see and hear what came out of my mouth that wasn't pleasing to God and Jesus. But he and God and Jesus did. You didn't see or hear what I did with my flesh that wasn't pleasing to God and Jesus, but God and Jesus saw. I'm not a saint. I'm a sinner. Saved by God and Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I need a savior. And I confess that I know that I'm a sinner and I know that I need Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior to save me. That's the only way I'm going to be able to get to glory. Because I'm a sinner and I need Jesus to be my savior. There's no other way. Those no works that I can do. No walking the elderly across the street. No going to pantries. None of that will give me. I need Jesus to be my savior. And I surrender totally to him. Because I need him to be my savior, because I'm a sinner. Amen. Saved by his grace and mercy. I'm going with Jesus. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Amen. Yes. So thank you, Lord, for spanking me. Thank you for my affliction. It was worth it. It was worth it. Thank you. Just like if our kids touch a stove, it was worth it for they wouldn't get burned.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And that's the, or sometimes when you sit down and God talks to you one-on-one, you wake up. Hallelujah. That's why I asked you to talk about that because we don't want nobody to go through what we experienced. I suffered a stroke. See? And I was laid out. Couldn't I know how to mock a floor? You see what I'm saying? It's the same dog in a different backyard. There you go. And but once you get up, come on. Your mind is renewed. You wake up a new creature for real. You do. But you don't want nobody to have to go through what you go through. But sometimes we was, I I I can speak for me. I was so hard hitting you. Me too. Bargaining with God, tell him I'ma do this, but not that. Yep. You know. But he's like, you need to sit down so I can tell you what you're gonna do. And if you don't do it, guess what? I'm able to take you home. Hello? And make you do it. And boom. And it's so humbling once you once you come out of it and see what God actually did in your life.
SPEAKER_05He did it.
SPEAKER_01That's why. Can't nobody tell me about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Can't nobody. I know He's a healer.
SPEAKER_02He's a healer. I lived it personally. Yes, you did. And our ancestors lived it. That's why Paul wrote half of the Bible. He didn't want us to go through that. That's right. We were hard-headed. That's right. He was trying to save us. Do you know they didn't have a blueprint? They didn't have a Bible. So they was winging it the best they could, and God, his grace and mercy never ran out for them. Thank you, Jesus. So they were so blessed with that. But we're even ten times blessed and spoiled because we got the word. We have the Bible. And Paul was trying to tell us so we didn't have to go through what he was going through. That's why he said, when I leave, I don't want to be on the cross. Send me upside down. I won't even die like Jesus did. He had he has turned me upside down on the cross. I ain't even worthy. So that's what Paul was doing. That's what she's doing. That's what you're doing. That's what I'm trying to do. So no one will have to run their head up against the wall if they don't have to. But you know, we can only tell them so long, you know, and when God wants to get their attention, He has a way of getting their attention. Amen.
SPEAKER_00I'm glad y'all mentioned that because it's people who are out there who still think they earthly works will be enough. Yes. You know, or or they can bargain with the Lord, you know. And and even uh uh uh to piggyback off what you were saying, that we were even more blessed to be born into this life after the sacrifice. You know, so yeah, I'm I'm glad y'all said that.
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_00Uh just a question that I would like to ask is I know some people out there thinking this, so I just want to get this one out the way. Is there a cost associated with this?
SPEAKER_02No. To God be the glory, everything is free. We just ask you to be still and know that he's got cash and companion, provide free services. Everything is free. Everything is free. To talk to her on the phone is free. To talk to me on the phone is free. All the brochures, all the books that we send you is free. Anything, gift cards that we send you, it's free.
SPEAKER_00Amen.
SPEAKER_02Grocery cards, it's free. Anything we bless you with is free. It's free. Because it all comes from your Father, God over Israel, Jesus Christ and Nazareth and the Holy Spirit. It's all is free. He planted it for Karen and Cancer Companion to be able to do that. Amen.
SPEAKER_07Can I add a question on that?
SPEAKER_02Sure.
SPEAKER_07Now, what if you were to come across somebody that may want the services but not a full-blown believer or a new believer, or may not have a home church, would you all still be willing to offer them help too?
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes. If they as long as they sign up and let me show you. Oh, what it looks like. Check this out. This is why cancer companions say, well, I'm sorry, why cancer patients say I'm fine. This is the flyer that I go around and I share to my people at the hospitals, at clinics, family dollar, dollar general, uh, all locations. And I pass that out and I share with our people. And so if you have cancer or you're a caregiver, all you gotta do is click on that QR code or call the number and I sign you up, regardless if you have a church home or not. God wants us to bless everybody. There's no uh, oh well, they get to go because they go to refuse restoration church. They they they get to go. No, no. The unhoused get it too. Everybody, you don't have to have a home church. God sets this up with Karen Trip. Everybody will be blessed by this. That's dealing with cancer or caregiver. And if you unhoused and you're a caregiver to someone unhoused, you will get the same because you're still caring for your unhoused person with you in Jesus' name. Yes, yes, no, no, we we we don't discriminate. And there there's this uh one organization that that's thinking about pairing up with us, and they take care of people that uh deal With uh LGBTQ organization. They said, well, some of them want to sign up because they're going through, but they are a little hesitant. I said, we're gonna pray over them too. Because we're not looking at what they did in the past, what they're saying now. We're praying over their souls so they can get to glory. We're not judging what they did. We don't care if they say, Well, I date this person, I date. That's irrelevant. We're praying over your body, we're praying over your soul. And when that Holy Spirit into your body, things will change. Things will change on your behalf. The spiritual realm will shift on your behalf. So that goes for anybody. No, we we want everybody to be blessed in their comings and their goings. No, when God made the pie, he made for everybody to get a slice. It's for all of us.
SPEAKER_00See, at the end of the podcast, we're gonna uh put the flyer close so you can see the QR code. We can need to post it on the page. And we'll post it online on the Vim 101 page.
SPEAKER_01I'm posting on the page.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and we'll post it on uh the watching on Facebook, please post it on your page because you know we support anybody that's going through cancer. And I definitely want my black community to know, all my black churches, even if you're not affiliated with a church and you have someone that has cancer, sign up. Are you a caregiver? Please sign up. Cancer Companion is phenomenal, and I'm the one that's over the black churches, the black community. And it makes sense to me. Why? Because I'm black.
SPEAKER_01And you're in the know. And I love me.
SPEAKER_02And I love Jesus. I'm in the know. But it's not to not to say that somebody Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian couldn't be. No, I'm not saying that. But you know, you know how we are. We're comfortable in our own settings, and I want my people to know you're comfortable. You you're gonna be blessed through Jesus. So, yes, please put that out on all your Facebook, Instagram, Snapchats, whatever social media sites you have.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, amen. We'll definitely share it. Okay, I thank you. Because I've shared it in the past on my page, um, JC Bryant, but I'm going to definitely we'll post it on Vent101. Um, one final question, and this is for everybody. Um, what legacy do you want to leave behind? What legacy do you want to leave behind? That she was sometimes in the church. And she sometimes praised the Lord.
SPEAKER_02Well, for my legacy, I want people to know that there was one time I was in the world, and then she's no longer in the world. My she finally surrendered and obeyed to God. He said that I can be in this world, I just can't be of it. And I finally was obedient, so now I'm obedient, and I want them to say, she definitely believes and serves God and Jesus and Holy Spirit, and she also obeyed. She knew that there's you can't have one without the other. First, before Jenny was Jenny Saul, I just believed. But I wasn't obedient. But now, Jenny Paul, I believe and I obey. Because I can't have one without the other. I cannot have one without the other. Because the demons and Satan, they believe, but they don't obey. That's right. You know, so I don't want to, I don't want to partake in that anymore. Now, do I make mistakes? Oh, a hundred a day. You can ask my children, they'll even tell you that. They'll tell you that. They're the first ones to change. Yeah, but to God be the glory, he's working on me every day. But I I know that uh where I used to be, I'm not anymore. I you know, like I say, it's just when I say in the past, in the past, when you're driving, you see what's in front of you. Because driving, if you're driving, you can't, you'll never make them. You keep driving backwards. So I look ahead and I just thank God for the transformation. And I knew he was coming. Well, it was it a long journey, yes, but it was worth it because he was molding me. Why? Because he's the potter and I'm the clay. But when you're going through it, I'm like, you say you'll never leave me. You say you'll never forsake me. This is hard. I hate this. I was so mad. I was hard. But I'll never forget being a little girl, not knowing he was molding me then. Every morning, when you and you and all of us out there go to church, we always listen to praise music. Every morning. And every morning, Dorothy Norwood song would come on, standing on God's Word. So that's when it when I got the information that I was gonna have to go through treatment because I was dealing with breast cancer. I stood on God's word. And I never forget, Dorothy Norwood said there was a mother taking care of her child, cooking food, and she told her son, who was eight, I'll be right back. And I'm coming home. And when she got home, she said, the food is all prepared. When I come home, we'll eat. When she got home, her house was in flames. She said, Oh Lord, my eight-year-old baby is in there. The police, the firemen, everybody, all the neighbors. It was dark, pitch black with all the flames and soot. And they grabbed her and they said, No, no, no, no, you can't go in there. Any and everything that's in there is gonna perish, it's no more good, it's not gonna make it. But my baby, and she said, Lord, I'll trust you. I don't know why, but my baby is in there. She knew because of the explosion and the fire, but she had to trust God and surrender. I mean, it's done. Next thing you know, all the good smoke and all that gust, all of a sudden, a gust of black smoke came up, and it was her son. Mama, mama, mama. She said, son, wiping everything off of him and the fire chief and the police and neighbor, she said, son, how did you get out of that? He said, Mama, now you know, you and Big Mama and Grandmama always taught me when any and everything else fell in this world, stand on God's word. So I grabbed his Bible and I stood on and I climbed out the window. Absolutely. So that's right. If that old, if that young baby and this old fool had enough sense to stand on God's word and climb out the window, this old fool Jeannie had enough sense to stand on God's word and climb out the window of my situation. So you stand on God's word and you climb out the situation of whatever your situation is. You climb out that window. It may not be breast, it could be family, it could be job, it could be education, it can be your neighbors, it could be whatever it is. But if that baby had enough sense to stand on God's word and climb out that window of his situation, you stand on God's word, you climb out that window of your situation. Because I sure stood and I stand on God's word to this day. And I thank God that he was molding me and training me as a child when that song was coming on. Because one day I was gonna have to stand on God's word and climb out the window of my situation. And I stood on and his word never comes back void. Amen. Thank you, Lord, for that.
SPEAKER_05Thank you.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yes, he's better to us than we are to ourselves. Yes, he is. God is a good God. Yeah, he don't give us what we deserve. And I thank because when he showed me that lake of fire and what, oh, and the feeling, yeah, this he don't have nothing on what I felt. So that little glimpse of image, it's nothing to play about. It's nothing to play about. You must pray. That's why I pray for my family, and I am not just talking about my immediate family, cousins, aunties, my total perfect strangers that I don't know. I'm praying for their souls. Amen. When I pray, I talk about my family. I talk about, and this is how I do it. My my my extended family, my home, my husband, my kids. Then I say the Sullivans, because I'm a Sullivan. And then I say the Witherspoons because my mom is a Witherspoon. Then I say the Littletons because my I'm married to a Littletons, then I say my total perfect strangers and my neighbors, people that I don't know. And when I say that, my total perfect strangers, because I don't know them, but I want them to be saved. That's right. And I want God to get their attention somehow, somehow. They're my total perfect strangers, and He knows all their names. So that's why I call out my total perfect strangers, Lord. I'm praying for them. Amen.
SPEAKER_01Amen. Oh Jenny, thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Lord. Well, I knew I'm telling I knew you was gonna be a powerhouse in here. All right, Lord, thank you, Lord. We're gonna have you back too. Okay, thank you, Lord. Yeah. Uh but sons, one of y'all wanna close us in prayer. Yes, Lord.
SPEAKER_00Amen. Dear most gracious Heavenly Father, we come. We just thank you for this podcast. Yes. Thank you for what you're doing, did, and will do in our lives, Lord. We thank you for the testimony of Miss Jenny. We thank you for the way she hosted and brought your word for. Yes. We thank you for the fire that burns down from the pit of her stomach, Lord. Yes, Lord. We pray that you continue to put living water flowing from her vessel, Father. We thank you for her light shining in this dark world, Father. Yes, Lord. We thank you for each other. We thank you for safe travel to and fro. We we we pray that someone has reached um our message has reached someone out in the podcast land, Father. We pray for their souls, we pray for our souls, we pray for everybody's soul, Lord. And we just thank you for who you are. We thank you for this day. We thank you for the provision. We thank you for the vision event 101. Yes, Lord. Thank you. And all these things we ask in your son Jesus' name. Amen.
SPEAKER_01Amen. And give us give us the information to for somebody to get in contact with cancer companions.
SPEAKER_02I have a flyer here, and they can go on the website, which is cancercompanion.org. And then there's also a number that they can call, which is area code 636 364 8407. That's uh uh number. The number again is area code 636-364-8407, and they can go to cancercompanion.org as well. Or if you see this flyer, you can click on the QR code in the mighty name of Jesus. I want all of you all to be blessed, and I baptize all of you all in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name.
SPEAKER_00Amen.
